The Northern New York Community Foundation
Not all communities are large enough to support their own community foundation, but as is the case in Canton, they can derive similar benefits by establishing an advised fund at the Northern New York Community Foundation. Recommendations on the use of the fund are made by a local committee established for this purpose. |
The Canton Community Fund is a wonderful model of how citizens can stand stronger when they stand together, and the Northern New York Community Foundation is proud to be a part of that. The Foundation continues to express its interest in investing in worthwhile endeavors in St. Lawrence County, and the Fund is a perfect example of how passionate community members can positively shape the lives of our fellow citizens.
